The paradox of men
There has been a need to write about men quite urgently especially in the case of a number of recent cases – not forgetting certain conflicts too. The sheer scale and extent of such happenings do not merely indicate there is a level of what can be considered a meagre intellect. Its far more complex than that yet this complexity pervades every avenue of society today.
Men are a paradox. The very existence of the earth depends on man’s ability to behave, to act with responsibility and not do anything that is immeasurably stupid. Because to do so would no doubt result in a planet that would be essentially inhabitable for centuries. Men are therefore substantially responsible for the means of instigating an apocalypse. Even in terms of the atomic bomb’s development, women in the Manhattan project were in large oblivious to what their R&D work was intended for – it being a weapon of enormously violent proportions.
Despite that, the apocalyptic scenario is almost here anyway. The planet is on the verge of it and that is due to men’s deep lust for violence. There’s no doubt a sheer stupidity already exists although certainly few men seem willing to recognise that. The victims of that quest are so far largely of the female fraternity and it seems somewhat inexplicable the violence directed towards women is hugely on the increase and cannot be stopped.
‘Why aren't all men horrified by the rise in male violence against women? We're living through a femicide – and no one wants to talk about it.’ By Lucy Morganhttps://t.co/NfXxDueCGT

‘I want to believe that the men in my life care as much about male violence against women as I do…
There is indeed an idiocy of sorts at play. Violence gets nowhere. The violent male stereotype has been prevalent and persistent throughout history, being the portrayal of men as unintelligent and incompetent, and often in comparison to women. Currently it seems quite hard to disprove this long held notion – because its men themselves who are simply not doing their species any favours.
If one has read the other posts presented on this blog, eg those of war, as well as those about violence against women who happened to be the wives of incomprehensibly violent males, what can be postulated here is despite a common held notion that men are God’s soldiers, they are more akin to being God’s willing destructors. One would question whether God was indeed any sort of sanity or a sheer fiction that had been invented by men for their own perverted ends. In terms of soldiers, the military etc and the fall-out, being war and conflict, men have barely held any notion of a need for proper and fair society since medieval times.
In those days fifteen centuries or so ago, conflict had grown more prevalent and battles ensued everywhere. Divisions between societies and even countries grew deeper. The poor were massively exploited in order to support the rich. Less ethical behavior was on the rise too. For example Knights began fighting for the love of a woman or, if she was married, for another man’s wife and all his possessions. Clearly men had to use their strength in order to acquire a female partner and even any to achieve possibility of producing brethren. For this reason it was always preferable for any offspring to be male rather than female and that because the former were seen as successful whilst the latter, bound to the home and to child-rearing, was seen as a failure. This evidently led to a one-way street where men acted with great impunity – with women being in large the main victims. Its a scenario that continues to this day.
The rise of male violence clearly has roots in the medieval period, where chivalry emphasized traits such as physical strength and courage above intellectual and emotional cognizance. In the main the stereotypical male also emerged. Knights and warriors were expected to be brave and daring in battle, but at the same time they were often portrayed as lacking in wisdom and strategic thinking. This reinforced the idea men were better suited to physical pursuits while women were better equipped for endeavours such as the home, cooking, and raising children.

“As men’s social class increases, their ability to understand others’ emotions and mental states weakens.”
When we see the current structures of society and how it has taken an extremely long time to formulate, its quite indicative of how societies progressed through the middle ages and into the early modern era. When one considers how women were viewed and even treated, the surprise is without women there would be no males. Yet this seemingly interminable paradox could barely be seen. Perhaps it was that men were too selfish for their own good and had no sense of the paradoxes they had conferred upon the world. That is because the social structures were so strong barely anyone sought to argue or dispute things, less of all women.
And if women stood up for their rights there was trouble. Take Joan of Arc or Mary Queen of Scots. Even Elizabeth the First had to maintain a balance between running the country through a subtle involvement that entailed her male entourage deciding policy and practice, leaving it to the Queen to manage the sundry such as Royal Duties and signing off laws and statutes.
During the Enlightenment, both scientific and philosophical ideas sought to justify a continuing gender inequality. For example Jean-Jacques Rousseau argued that men were naturally strong and capable of physical labor, but they also lacked the refinement and intelligence of women. This was used to justify the exclusion of women from education and political participation, and in turn, it reinforced ideas of male idiocy even though the actual intent was to maintain male dominance.
The only sustainable alternative to colonialism and its models of domination—old or new—, is Humanity. “The only sustainable alternative to colonialism and its models of domination—old or new—, is Humanity. Affirming the value of every person, and every people, beyond the confines of racialized identity politics and control.”
In terms of conquest, dominance and control, the pre-industrialisation era was no doubt one where the iron fist began to make itself felt globally. Colonialism, the horrors of slavery, and the appropriation of other countries. Men thought they were doing heroic things, even to the extent of practically eliminating entire races that dared stand in their way. From a subjective stance everything they were doing was right and everything the others were doing was wrong. It was no doubt a substantial endeavour at imposing a exclusive model of dominance – inequality no doubt being a prime endeavour. In the eyes of those men such inequality was necessary in order to maintain supremacy.
Its why the suffragettes rose. From the very early feminists onward there was a clear notion men were a very bad deal. A Vindication of the Rights of Woman was undoubtedly the first major work to argue men were not the deal they were made out to be.
The matter has no doubt perpetuated since and despite women gaining the right to vote and so on, the male stance at preventing these rights being practised or even conferred upon the female fraternity is getting to be of alarmist proportions. We have societies where there are fixed structures and notions of life and existence and these are considerably biased because they devolved from a process which assumed the male was the conquistador, the ruler, the one who owned lands, property and of course that included women too. In order to have those things they needed defenders, armies, weapons and so on. Over time all these things have had to be made ‘better.’ In other words more violent. A more comprehensive armoury for an increasingly sophisticated military which focused that male power even more. A clever system of profit and gain through squeezing others for as much gain as could be achieved. Political systems that became juggernauts, worsening everything in their path rather than the act of nurturing a better society.
The problem there is the very concept itself which illustrates what could amount to a sheer idiocy. Take for example the issue of war. War makes no sense except to further the violence which men enjoy. Its also an excuse for things that excite the male psyche. In terms of the military in some cultures, the warrior is of extremely high regard. This is traditionalist in a great sense. This stretches right across the spectrum from the warrior, the suicide bomber, the terrorist, and across to the colonels, the generals, even those portrayed in fiction such as those in Doctor Strangelove or the crazed Colonel Kilgore in Apocalypse Now.

In a sense what it is is men deem themselves as having a God given right to perform a methodology of the highest order, and its why there are awards and appreciation both living and in memoriam. What we get is men awarded with medals and insignia on their uniforms, thus bestowing honours upon them. Some countries for example where men seem to award themselves with the most numerous decorations, the most insignia pinned to their attire, as a thing of pride and yet its most obtuse. In fact its almost a perversity.
Voltaire had said “It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets”. This is an obtuse commentary on the hypocrisy of war, highlighting how states punish individual murder while glorifying mass killing during wartime. There’s no doubt men were the ones responsible for this sheer hypocrisy, and one can begin to see how such an insidious male bias has pervaded society.
Its an insidious evil no matter what side of the coin this clearly perverted honour happens to be. That is, even a humble foot soldier (if we can put it that way) sees it as their duty to do certain things. The idea of violence and death is no doubt an art. As Lawrence said (in the film Lawrence of Arabia if not real life) when he describes a killing, he says with some hesitancy when informing his superiors of the deed in question, he says the problem is he “enjoyed it”. Exactly. Its why in most cases, there is a male enjoyment to be made of of a sordid scenario. When there’s war there’s basically a free-for-all in terms of sexual violence. And right across the world we are seeing sexual violence become more and more prominent in the various conflicts. Things are not getting better. They are getting worse.
Whether there is war or not war, the outcome is the same. Men in this sense of superiority, no matter their duty (if it can be espoused as such) is to carry out atrocities which are substantially of a purely sexual nature. If it cannot be war, then it must be in peace. This is why we have Wayne Couzens, Tanner Horner and Mark Bridger. Not just dozens, but immeasurable numbers of others who will do things to the female species. One must remember the earth is matrimonial so at the top of the scale the art of war is an aggression against the feminine. If that simply wasn’t enough, then it must absolutely scale down to communities that are raped or murdered under the aegis of a conflict. Then its down to the woman or the child in the street. If they don’t come for females in the general sense of land mass or countries, whilst blowing their trumpets, they will certainly seek out females in the home too. Its essentially an art of driving a conflict into others’ lives and ‘resolving’ what appears to be some sort of internalised dilemma the male psyche certainly must harbour.
It is that moment when men see a vulnerable female and they suddenly take it that they have to ‘sort out’ the unfortunate victim because she ‘offers’ herself as a prize. This is another level of thinking on the subject besides that of what happens to be a debate on women being able to wear what they want, but it is always men who will rape women regardless. In a patriarchy, almost without a doubt its the women who are the ones at fault.
Sarah Everard was the unfortunate victim of a police officer called Wayne Couzens. Sarah is sadly not the first to be bedevilled as such. She has been one of countless women who have been murdered at the hands of male officials. When one refers to such, its not only one who could be a policeman, but also a lawyer, a Government official, a military personnel or even a religious official. Looking through history there’s no doubt all sorts of types of male have done the most abject and evil deeds to women.
In a patriarchy men display what appears to be a veneer of stability and rationality (backed up by doctrine, explanation, and politics) it can be anything in any number of strands related to ethics and morality, and so on, but beneath these, there is very clearly a substantial measurability of violence, coercion and oppression.
Men, as the controllers of this world, have built a societal veneer that is ‘right’ and ‘just’, but beneath that there is sheer horror. No matter what that very veneer looks like, deeper down there are numerous problems but the wall that occludes this tends to be built and rebuilt constantly so its difficult to see actually what goes on. Its like taking people on a tour and admiring some beautiful architectural buildings and lecturing on the wholesomeness and goodness of the very designs used. But behind those doors certain horrors are perpetuated. The human mind devolves a wall that separates the fantasy from the reality.

The world seems to be getting better at perpetuating genocide and the masses simply not questioning it to any great extent even though these days pretty much everyone can watch little girls and boys being shot in the head and the buildings about them explode. Morality seems to be an impossibility even in what appear to be the most moral led countries. And that because numerous innocent females are unalived in the process. Yes there are males too that are affected, however the largest sector of victims, as discussed later, are of the female fraternity.
Today is the 26th anniversary of the death of #victoriaclimbie. Victoria died on 25 Feb 2000, aged 8, after being tortured and murdered by her guardians. Her death led to a public inquiry and produced major changes in UK child protection policies. #neverforget pic.twitter.com/vpAZpHEKuN

Even the family, supposedly a bastion of love and protection, is these days but a charade, a façade for the abuse of females. This too ensues in almost certain death for the victim. The family unit, undoubtedly a male instigated ideal, is one where the abuser or murderer will happen to be a male. What goes on behind closed doors knows no bounds.
Thus its difficult in any way or form to even envisage a more equitable society where both men and women (and children) are seen as equally capable individuals. The big problem is its almost wholly men themselves who are doing this great disservice. The reason for that has to be the almost inexhaustible violence, and worse even, that is directed towards the female. Its clear there’s simply no equality of any sort and if there had been, then it had been what was largely an illusion and even a misconception that things had been improving.
With these hugely increased indices of violent intent and sexual abuse, there can be no doubt women are most alarmed at any sort of possible fate that could possibly befall them. There is no knowing the intent men have and any encounter with such men could well result in being raped, maimed or killed. As long as these horrors occur, any semblance of equality can never be considered a true possibility, and for that, its men, upon whom the blame must be placed squarely.

It’s important to remember that she had NO RELATION WHATSOEVER with her attacker. He saw her at the gym, found her Instagram, asked her out, and when she turned him down, he broke into her house and stabbed her. If her mother hadn’t arrived at the “right moment,” she might not be here today.
Its like the meat industry. Few see the actual processes involved in the acquisition of meat. Many see the end product rather and they choose to implement a ritual upon that. To cut, stab, to ‘murder’ a piece of beef and the rest of it. What that means is there’s a sheer horror which is hidden behind a layer of obscurity. This is the same with women. On what can be considered a normal scale of things, all looks calm and serene, but deeper down there is a horror show being enacted against the female species. Its one overlord doctrine that espouses a genocide or a perpetual horror against what is perceived as a weaker species – whether its animals or women. And indeed the failure to understand those horrors because there is a need for patriarchy, for the male to be dominant, for the human to be dominant against animals, its clear there’s a sheer stupidity that’s involved.
Power in terms of animal abuse and violence against women has a commonality. While they may appear separate, underlying factors link these. A key means in which power plays a role in violence against women or animals is control and dominance. Animals are often seen as inherently vulnerable and powerless, thus making them easy targets. In terms of violence against women, a similar dynamics results in perpetuating harm. Perpetrators often use physical, emotional, and financial power to control and subordinate women and its rooted in a societal structure which is largely that of patriarchy.
Recently we had the case of Iryna Zarutska, and just last week, the courts found they could not proceed with the case against her murderer. There’s not just Iryna, there’s loads of other men with a repute for the insensible. Take the abjectly evil Tanner Horner – this is one of those instances where the mere presence (or mention of men) makes one feel very sick. It is largely by way of men that the world feels simply un-rescuable and there is no doubt a deep despair exists at how much worse it could get.
Even in terms of war, that most unnecessary opium that men deem high up on their altar of worship, in Sudan for example there are sheer numbers of women being murdered, raped, because it is in the mens’ minds that the female is a most useful chip in the quest to dominate or oppress sections of society or various groups that do not fit into the accepted doctrines of the beliefs or political aspirations that are being espoused.

There is no doubt violence is used by men in the most abject ways. It is in a sense, pleasurable for them to see vulnerability and insidiously take advantage of that. Tanner Horner for example, is no doubt a ‘foot soldier’ of the most common kind (essentially but a lowly Amazon delivery driver) and he had conducted a delivery to a premises in Texas. These were presents being delivered for a small girl called Athena Strand, who was just seven years of age. Just a few short moments later, Athena was abducted and driven away by Horner to face the inevitable, sordid bequest, that has been placed upon numerous unfortunate females.
The very words Athena had said (and the reaction to this by Horner) were played out in court and its said jurors were crying and even her parents had to leave the court because it was just too upsetting. It has no doubt also shocked and upset the most rational persons too.

There’s so many men who seem to have a desire to send shockwaves through society and that largely by way of defiling the female body or worse. When I first began considerable involvement in social media, this being during the Olympics in 2012, it happened to be a time that some awful instances had arose. They were not unique of course, but they were strongly indicative that something men seem ever so adept at cannot simply be stopped. One case happened to be that of Gemma McCluskie who was murdered by her brother, and the other Mark Bridger who murdered five year old April Jones. Both equally horrific cases at different ends of the spectrum, occurring before and after the 2012 Olympics. Despite the grandoise celebrations that were 2012, it did not mitigate that very sense of male entitlement where such instigators deem they have every right to unalive a female. You see, the ‘reality’ that men see is not something that can be easily challenged, not in any way or form.
Having written in depth at the horrific situations which I as a child found myself in, being both sexual abuse and also domestic violence where I had to watch my father beating up my mother, such things have affected me no end and I have for a considerable amount of time stood right by the side of women because it is quite clear the odds are considerably staked against females. An intelligent or a pretty or a suitably attired female, or even the humble house wife (something society has long categorised as the most suitable role for a woman) there is no question all of these, in spite of any rationale from the male, their psyche no doubt views the female fraternity as a considerable threat to the idea that men are the ones in control.
Men being all brawn and no brains, yes that is what it is. LTC William Kilgore (Robert Duvall) in Apocalypse Now is the perfect ideal. Important and commandeering, and apparently has a huge sense of responsibility, plus an enormous power, happens to be no less than a batshit manic. Kilgore’s sense of existence is just utterly perverted. In short, a total idiot. But this what a lot of men are. Some will say not all men, but then others will counter that notion by saying its always men. Whether that is exactly true or not remains to be seen for instance this supposed 62 million men who visited/used a porn forum to find ways to drug and violate women. What can only be the fall out from the Gisèle Pelicot affair has mushroomed into something far worse. Instead of learning that drugging females and letting an entire village of males do their bit had somehow been a bad thing, it exponentially inflated in the opposite direction. 62 million men, which as some observers have said, denotes its not some men but all men. What happened there is many of those visits were repeat ones. In fact there were not 62 million men, but there was an inordinate number of men, around a thousand, using that website, being what some female observers denoted an ‘online rape academy’ that existed on Telegram. A thousand still is just too many.
At any hour, men from around the world gathered on the “Zzz” group to swap advice on drugging and then filming the sexual assault of their partners while
unconscious. The abuse, shared via video and pictures in this group of nearly a thousand users, was treated as a commodity. (CNN).

Some might claim that this very abjectness is an unfortunate side of humanity. Too human, all too human it seems. But that amounts to a pathetic excuse! The best brains ought to be thinking things out and devising ways of reducing or even eliminating the numerous abject horrors women face. Sadly that does not happen. Rather society continues an ignorance. The wrong things are tackled and claims are then made that things will improve. They do not. And men being men, they will continue largely as before because the guard rails simply do not exist. The societies we live in are clearly an idiocy of the most supreme order as well as stupidity ad infinitum.
